Microsoft’s microsoft cloud solutions are designed to help businesses run more efficiently, improve productivity and achieve goals. The company’s six core cloud tools—Office 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Dataverse, and the Microsoft Fabric—work together to provide a full suite of services that can meet the needs of nearly any industry or organization size.
In addition to its core cloud offerings, Microsoft also has a number of integrations, interfaces, templates and other capabilities specific to particular industries. These are called Industry Clouds, and they’re a key part of Microsoft’s sales strategy. The company encourages its salespeople to look at customers as partners and sell them a ready-made set of subscription services. This approach dovetails with its Industry Clouds strategy, which requires subscribers to have licenses for multiple Microsoft cloud services. One of the most popular microsoft cloud solutions is its Azure platform, which has many uses. The platform provides compute resources, such as virtual machines, containers and storage. It also hosts applications and services, such as domain name system (DNS) servers; Windows Server services, such as Internet Information Services (IIS); and networking services, such as firewalls. The platform is available in four different forms: infrastructure as a service (IaaS); platform as a service (PaaS); software as a service (SaaS); and serverless functionality. It’s often used to host relational and non-relational databases. The platform also offers an extensive network of data centers, which is connected by a coast-to-coast network.
